Fri, 18:59: The reason Old Faithful is Yellowstone’s most famous attraction is its predictability— it erupts roughly every ninety minutes. Plenty of other geysers spew more water higher and for longer durations, but with no predictability at all.
Steamboat Geyser is one of the latter. It erupts between 4 days and 50 years apart. Lucky us, it erupted right on our second visit — only four days after its last eruption!
We were actually here two days ago. Shobhit waited an irrationally long time, hoping it would erupt while we were there. When we returned today, it actually *was* erupting. https://t.co/ZE41dz9NOS
