nothing to see here
There's not much to tell about last night, well, not that most of you would want to read in detail about, anyway. I spent nearly four hours at Steamworks, and had a generally good time. That accounted from pretty much the whole evening, though, aside from walking home from work and making myself a veggie hot dog for dinner. I also had a Moscow Mule cocktail, which did little for me except give me a minor headache later in the evening. It was delicious, though. I guess it did that for me.
What else can I tell you, then? I did reach out to the Store Director at Columbia City yesterday, and I heard back. It sounds like my afternoon shifts on Tuesday and Wednesday next week will consist mostly of bagging groceries and fetching carts. I was provided with a training link on efficiently bagging. I still need to watch it, but I will. My primary concern at this point, honestly, is just the time crunch it's putting on my work load here at the office. But, it'll be fine. I won't stress too much about it because stressing really isn't my style anymore.
Shobhit works again tonight, and I will go home long enough to make some dinner and then I'm headed down to hang out with Gabriel, and watch this week's episode of The Mandalorian. I still haven't watched any of the rest of the content on Disney+ because I am pretty preoccupied with Netflix's The Crown. I will, though. I was thinking I'd be saving money with this $7 per month cost versus the $14 Hulu subscription I just canceled, but, I am leaning toward biting the bullet and paying for the annual subscription to the Microsoft Office for Mac, which is $69.99. That works out to $5.83 per month, so if I do sign up for that my finances between all these things is kind of a wash.
I'm thinking about just using vacation cash-out money to pay the initial year-payment for both Office and Disney+; for the first month, I'm just paying the monthly price for the latter. I'll have to make the decision on Office sooner than later, as I keep getting pop-ups saying the version I am currently running (from like ten years ago, gotten through Shobhit when he still worked for Microsoft) will no longer work after the next major iOS update. And although Apple does have a somewhat similar "numbers" program, I really want to be able to continue using Excel.
Anyway. I'm only boring you with this because I can think of nothing else to write about today.
