  • Sat, 22:36: This is fascinating: we’re watching an episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Murray wants to have fourth baby and one of his wife’s several sensible arguments against it is overpopulation. This was in 1974, when the world population was roughly 4 billion. World population today? 7.8 billion. (U.S. 1974 population: 214 million; 2020 population 331 million, a 55% increase as opposed to 95% world increase—still too much in either case.)
