Thu, 4:33: Tonight we saw a play featuring Australian community theatre actors all playing people in the U.S. state of Georgia, their muddled, artificially “Southern” accents frequently slipping back into noticeably Australian. It was one of the oddest live theater experiences I’ve ever had.
Looks like we’re not the only ones who noticed: “The pace is allowed to drag, often hampered by the performers selection of an extremely drawn out expression of the accent which is just as bad as the times when commitment to accent is completely lost.
