Ugh! Too much work, too much work! Too much to get done. Trying to keep everything on deadline. Emails for all sorts of disparate reasons coming in on the regular, making that first part more of a challenge. New store openings, in the middle of the first global pandemic in a century. Eric is working on my annual review and yesterday I had to send him a list of my 2019 "accomplishments," which was hard to think up because I almost never think of my job in those terms. On top of that, this will be my first evaluation done by Eric since he became my official supervisor instead of Scott . . . by the later years, Stephanie truly loved me; Scott went even further and constantly gave me the benefit of the doubt more often than I even deserved. Obviously I can't bank on Eric being the same way, although I don't know how critical he can comfortably even be given that I still work far more directly with Scott on a day to day basis than I do with Eric and that never really changed. In any case, I've got a lot to keep in mind these days. And I actually feel bad for Eric—he's got plenty on his hands as well and is probably dealing with way more of a challenge than I am. He's working from home too and has two small children running around him. All I have are my whiny bitch-ass cats. Well, when my husband isn't home.

Shobhit has shifts at Total Wine & More both yesterday and today, off at 4:30 both days, the same time I get off work. He wanted to go to Costco after work yesterday, and I was going to go with him, but knowing he would be paying there, I suggested I just stay home and he go straight there from work. Why double our risk unnecessarily? So he agreed . . . but, then he also went to MacPherson's Produce on Beacon Hill, and then to the Trader Joe's two blocks away from home. Those are places I usually pay, so I guess I sort of weaseled my way out of spending money there. He did try to convince me to join him at Trader Joe's, and I was like, "That kind of defeats the purpose of my not coming to Costco." He said, "Yeah but Trader Joe's is a lot smaller." I said, "Excactly!" Umm, hello? Bear in mind this is a guy who apparently only wears a mask "about forty percent of the tine" at Big 5, he still regularly coughs without covering his mouth when at home, and also keeps rolling over onto my pillow after I get out of bed. It's kind of a miracle neither of us has gotten sick yet. He was telling me last night that if anyone gets it, it will be him . . . uh, yeah, and then I will!

It's probably all stress-induced, but I keep feeling weird, minor pressure-pains in my limbs, my feet, and particularly in my chest and upper belly that feel like a cross between gas pains and heartburn. A lot of it must actually be gas, as I farted a lot yesterday.

Anyway! My staying home worked out well for dinner, as it gave me time to get a head start on chopping tons of vegetables for the sambar we made for dinner. By the time Shobhit was home and we had finished preparing it, it was already nearly 8:00. We watched two episodes of Hollywood on Netflix and then I went to bed.
