Wed, 21:09: Shobhit and I just finished Bridgerton, and upon reflection, I’ve decided I reject any dismissal of it as mere “Regency soap opera.” I found it to be well written, well plotted, and well performed. I’m not saying it’s a masterwork of great depth exactly—it’s still a period romance—but it does have a subtly provocative conceit and a delightfully satisfying execution.
