There have been three noteworthy events since I last updated! I'm using the word "noteworthy" very loosely here.
Number one! The Netflix movie The White Tiger, which I found to be a lot better than the trailer for it made it look. I started watching right at 4:30 when my work day ended, so that the movie would be over soon after 6:30. It's slightly over two hours long and I had to pause it a couple of times. It was closer to 6:45 before I could really get started on my B+ review. If I'm being perfectly honest that review post will be a much more interesting than this post you're arguably wasting your time reading right now.
Number two! As soon as I finished writing the review, I drove to the office to swap out receiver paperwork. To my surprise, even at about 8:00 in the evening, two other people were in the office working: Marianne in HR and Craig in Accounting. I didn't ask either one of them but I wondered if maybe they were pulling late-nighters as a means of getting in there to work without anyone besides them in the office at the same time they were.
I was grabbing a cookie out of the Merchandising freezer when Marianne suddenly walked past behind me and said, "What are you doing here?" So I said, "Getting a snack." I didn't mention that I was also listening to Madonna's Like a Virgin album on my AirPods.
Number three! Hayley finally finished and shared her latest video music project she'd asked me to participate in: an acapella rendition of Katy Perry's "Never Really Over." A surprisingly large number of people participated—Hayley tagged 22 participants in her Facebook post—which worked out well for me because I hated how I sounded on my own and this way I just blend in with countless other people singing. My favorite part is my brief appearance in the end credits, the clip of which was relatively predictable: the moment that Guru had jumped into my lap and shoved his own face into the camera.
Anyway, Hayley shared it on Facebook at about a quarter till 9 this morning, then also uploaded it to YouTube after I posted a comment asking if she planned to do just that. I appreciated that as it made sharing the video to Twitter much easier.
