  • Mon, 06:29: What I found to be one of the more compelling clips from my Auntie Rose memorial video (https://t.co/K3OVQvAq1H): a fascinating time capsule of Seattle from nearly thirty years ago. It references the Alaskan Way Viaduct and the Kingdome, years before anyone had any idea either would eventually be demolished; followed by discussions of the state of Seattle at the time, including what was then only a two-year-old Downtown Bus Tunnel (now used exclusively for Light Rail), a quick shot of what our city buses used to look like, and a shoutout to local burger chain Kid Valley.

On a more personal note: all three of the other people in these clips have now passed on. Grandma McQuilkin in 2011; Grandpa McQuilkin in 2016; Auntie Rose in 2020.
