Sun, 16:18: Does anyone else remember the 1993 movie DEMOLITION MAN, in which every restaurant in 2032 was Taco Bell because they were the ones who “won the franchise wars”? Turns out they weren’t that far off the mark ... but instead of a fast food chain, it’s a BOOK STORE expanding to the point of taking over all other businesses. (Side note to the children: Amazon started as a book store. Know your history!) Amazon is opening a hair salon. Seriously.
This was where Auntie Rose and I had earlier made plans to go together for my Birth Week, before she passed away in February 2020.
Valerie, her daughter / my dad’s cousin, had then committed to joining me in her stead and in honor of her ... only to have even that postponed a year by COVID.
