  • Wed, 10:00: Everything about this lawsuit is patently ridiculous, but the most annoying part is the persistent conflation of nudity with sexuality. A photograph of a naked baby is not "child pornography," & anyone who thinks it is needs to get their own head checked. There was nothing remotely sexual about that album cover. A naked baby helped Nirvana sell millions of records. Now 30, he’s suing the band for ‘child pornography.’
  • Wed, 12:45: Quick math lesson!

74% of covid infections being breakthrough cases (as in the infamous Massachusetts cluster from last month, https://t.co/TVZd5FIl0t) is NOT the same as "74% of vaccinated people are getting infected."

Those are wildly different scenarios with different parameters, as one factors in *unvaccinated* people and the other does not.

A study of health care workers in Israel—all of them vaccinated—from last month (https://bit.ly/3jiJTxC) puts the rate of breakthrough cases among the vaccinated at a far lower number, about 2.6%.

This is just one among what are now countless examples of the fact that vaccines work.

It also bears repeating that vaccines are designed primarily to prevent severe illness and death, with resistance to infection being a secondary consideration. And the vast majority of what remains a low percentage of breakthrough cases are very mild, especially among those without comorbidities. Again: vaccines are doing what they are designed to do.

The only thing that will stop them from working is, literally, eligible people refusing to get vaccinated, which makes further mutations far more likely as the virus runs rampant among the unvaccinated. This isn't rocket science.
