Fri, 11:18: I just learned that yesterday was National Underwear Day. I missed it! Then it occurred to me that you could think of just about any random thing and there's likely a "national day" for it. National Cereal Day? March 7. National Beach Day? August 30.
Fri, 19:32: The weirdest thing about being out in the world now is how the pandemic is ever-present but it isn’t new anymore. We’ve acclimated. Half of us are walking around in masks as a matter of course, a potentially and regularly lethal disease just a casual part of our everyday reality.
We’ve come a long way, and a year ago was still far more frightening, especially to those of us now vaccinated. But this new world we’ve now settled into, it’s just as weird, just for different reasons. Imagine time-traveling to this from just two years ago.
