The Accounting temps are back! I guess they just took yesterday off? Are Wednesdays the day of rest of accountants?

There's a couple more people in the office today than yesterday, but not many. It's still emptier than it was on Tuesday.

A new young woman hired to assist Eric with promotion stuff, named Amy, is here at the office this week. Eric asked me to assist her through some tasks in HQ, our item maintenance system, yesterday. I'll probably do more today. I'd have been able to start earlier yesterday, except with so many people gone to Expo West in Anaheim, I wound up with quite the sequence of whack-a-mole tasks yesterday afternoon. Amy was set to leave the office yesterday at 3:45 and she had a video call with Eric at 2:30. In the end I only had about half an hour to sit with her and show her some things in the system. I did walk her through the setup of a coupon item Eric needed.

I made a pretty large amount of food last night. I walked home with two samples of veggie chicken pieces (the packaging calls them "plant chicken pieces") in my bag, then used them to make a stir fried rice. I sauteed a leftover half an onion from the fridge; the two halves of bell pepper still left over from when Shobhit last used parts of them; the last bunch of broccoli in the vegetable drawer; and about ten small mushrooms from the Costco package of that I still have. I also added three eggs, and then I made about twice as much rice as I actually needed. I just packed the rice for later, which I can use with some Indian meal packets at some point.

I dished my dinner, then had enough leftover for four lunch containers. I'll probably make a sandwich for dinner later tonight. I'm set for meals for several days, I think.

I watched and reviewed a SIFF movie only available on their website, a documentary about an Icelandic band called Hatari ("hater" in Icelandic), the film called A Song Called Hate. It was . . . fine. It gave me something to watch and review, anyway.

Shobhit called via Skype in the middle of it. There wasn't a lot to talk about. It was morning there in New Delhi, about 9:30. He planned to go to the bank, but that was all he had planned. His mom had been up super late due to coming to the airport with his brother's driver to pick him up, so he wanted her to spend the day resting. I hope the more Shobhit is out and about during his trip, he sends me pictures like he has tended to in the past.
