Fri, 17:27: A middle-aged Black lady ringing up my $8-Fridays (regular price $13!) cheese pizza at Whole Foods asked me if I was a driver, noticing my UNFI jacket.
I explained that I work for PCC and I was given the distributor-branded jacket, which I always really liked, ages ago.
Then she said: “My driver’s not usually as handsome.”
!! I know I talk regularly about how beautiful I am and all, but I’m pretty sure I blushed right through my mask anyway.
I don’t usually hear it from other people … maybe because I usually beat them to it.
