- Sat, 07:48: It's September 10 and the forecast high today is 90°. And I don't want to hear shit from people in naturally hotter regions: our normal high today would be 74*, so for here, this is still significant.
I'd say this is insane, but I just went through my Facebook Memories and I was complaining about the heat on this day in both 2015, and in 2020 (when it hit a record 91°). I suppose regular periods of excessive heat well into September are just part of our "new normal" now.
- Sat, 15:30: I just realized that in all likelihood we will see *another* person ascend to the throne in the UK within most of our lifetimes, probably in the next twenty years or so. What a strange thing to realize, after Elizabeth reigned for seventy years.
- Sat, 17:15: The air in Seattle today smells like burnt embers. Fun! 🤸🤮
