Fri, 07:30: Last night my block had a Seattle Public Utilities-planned power outage for some kind of maintenance, scheduled from 7pm to 7am(!)—evidently it didn’t include streetlights. We took advantage of that light from outside by opening all of the blinds, combined with candles and flashlights. These things often get completed ahead of schedule, which we really hoped for last night … the power came back on at 5:25am. The building really never got as cold *or* as dark (thanks to backup generator lights) as the building management sent us multiple warnings about. https://t.co/BFEoHRgQONZ/
