Shobhit’s home!
He’s got his prescription medicines picked up, he has “pain pads” on his incision sites, and he can walk … a bit.
I had ridden my bike (at his suggestion) to work, where I stayed until he was ready to be discharged from the hospital. I then needed to bike home before I could pick up the car, though, during which time he insisted on walking out of the hospital.
He decided to meet me at the nearby Bartell Drugs where his prescriptions were ready to pick up. I still needed to bike home from there, and I did pick up the car and come back for him. He decided still to walk, very slowly, in the meantime; I took a shot of him on Madison from across the street before doing that. Then I drove back and picked him up on Pike & 11th, which meant he walked about half a mile.
Home now, he’ll be resting as much as possible for a few days. He has a doctor’s letter to give his employer, and he’s smartly decided not to return to work until at least next week, probably Monday.
Shobhit is very happy to be back at home with his babies.
