Well, it turns out the kid the movie "The Blind Side" was based on was never adopted by those parents played by Sandra Bullock (who won her Oscar for this movie) and Tim McGraw, as the movie stated: he was actually deceived into being put under conservatorship and, real-life Michael Oher alleges, his Conservators profited at his expense.
(Side note: the thousands of people unfairly placed under conservatorship are far less fmous even than Michael Oher.)
There have long been other reasons to reconsider the idea that "The Blind Side" is a good movie, but this really brings it home.
