I just scored two tickets to "
Cider Summit Seattle," which I didn't even know existed, but hard cider is the closest thing to beer I will drink, and aside from some shopping I had no other plans tomorrow. Peter, our Associate Center Store Merchandiser in Beer & Wine, came to my desk to ask if I wanted them. Hell yeah!
They're worth $40 each and the event includes "12 tasting tickets." I don't think Shobhit is a huge hard cider fan but I am assuming he'll be all about taking up something of this kind of value for free. This totally made my day!
And, now I have plans all three days this week: I'm taking myself to a movie tonight; we'll do "Cider Summit Seattle" tomorrow; Laney and I have a Happy Hour in the Park scheduled Sunday, in Volunteer Park. Probably a lot by many people's standards, but wildly scaled back compared to last weekend.

What else is there to share, then? Not much, which is fine because I'm tight on time. Shobhit and I went shopping at Costco after work yesterday, once I was done having some leftovers for dinner (delicious leftovers, incidentally, a kind of Indian stew Shobhit made with pakoras in it, made of opo and daikon).
Oh, we also went to QFC first. Shobhit just wanted to get a lottery ticket, but I noticed some great deals going on in the QFC app. I broke my boycott of anti-union Kellogg because they had digital coupons for 5 13oz boxes of Special K for only $1.99 each. I couldn't resist that. I can only take comfort in assuming they must be losing money on that deal. Or maybe not, maybe only QFC is. Someone has to be. Regular price on those fucking boxes of cereal is like $6.49.
Anyway! We came home, unloaded the groceries, and then watched a lovely episode of
Reservation Dogs this week. And then, happening to see it also on Hulu, we watched a new movie starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin called
Moving On, which we both found quite pleasant. Then I went to bed.
