My Threads

  • Mon, 17:18: Went to Target to buy some socks—just regular, standard crew socks. They’re all locked inside a glass cabinet. What the hell? These aren’t liquor or jewelry or even cough medicine—they’re *socks*. Now, I’m sure the downtown store has rampant theft, but they’ve got far more expensive pants and tops all over the place, just out on hangers. Why the fucking socks?

I can see maybe it’s because socks get stolen more often by homeless people who actually need them. (??) Either way they could try having more attentive staff.

I wouldn’t even be complaining except for the much more pertinent part: there’s a “help button” that I had to use twice over several minutes, to no avail: no staff came. Two staff meandered by obliviously several aisles down, and I had to go snag one of them.

This is maybe not the best way to discourage us all from just ordering from Amazon.
