Mon, 10:45: This fucking state. These fucking states. These fucking people! Several State Republicans—including the Governor—expressed "concerns" about "unintended" consequences of this law—and yet, they all voted for it anyway. Anyone with half a brain could see that this kind of shit would happen. Hospital staff should not be having to consult with lawyers about providing care to a girl (in this case, a *girl*—13 years old) who is in labor. A young teen gives birth. Idaho’s parental consent law snags her care.
Mon, 10:56: People were so excited when Threads first started, how much more civil people were than they were on Twitter. I am here to report that the floodgates of toxicity have entered the chat.
Mon, 21:26: Tonight I was Shobhit’s arm candy at the 2024 Gregory Awards—essentially a kind of Tony Awards, for live theater in the Puget Sound region. It was presented by Theater Puget Sound, of which Shobhit is a board member.
Even though I didn’t see any of the productions being awarded (or even nominated), the event was super fun. The medium sized theater was filled to capacity with local artists who support each other so much, more often than not when a winner was announced, the crowd went apeshit. ❤️
The hosts of the ceremony, Jimmy Shields (who won for directing SISTER ACT) and Alexandria Henderson, were really fantastic. I stupidly didn’t get a photo of them. I had a great time.
