Latest feature planned for 2026 World Cup stretches more than 4 miles

"The Unity Loop, which will resemble Boston's Freedom Trail and New York City's High Line, will remain after the World Cup ends." I got very excited, briefly, by the comparison to New York City's The High Line—an awesome, elevated city park converted from a former elevated railroad path, genuinely one of my favorite attractions there—but I can't imagine anything resembling that coming out of this in Seattle. More likely it'll just be a new street-level path along sidewalks delineated by markers and murals. Still, anything that encourages walking through the city has my support!
