Sat, 08:25: Still in Toronto, while getting ready this morning I’m listening to a podcast, as I always do. Suddenly one of the ad break commercials was entirely in French. That was a new one for me.
I know not every Canadian speaks French as a first language—that’s mostly Quebec (indeed “Quebec” was the only word in the ad I knew)—but do they all still have to learn it? I should look into this. I certainly don’t speak it, so whatever the hell they were selling I’m certainly not buying!
