All I have to tell you about my weekend now, really, are all the movies I watched. I already shared
a post yesterday about walking down to Pier 62 with Shobhit in the afternoon, for the "Waterfront Park Firepit Social." I got 19 photos out of it, 17 of them actually taken at Pier 62—but, because I suddenly realized that the redesigned Pier 62 is itself part of the Seattle Waterfront Revitalization, I decided to create a
dedicated photo album that included an additional 14 photos of the pier, from seven previous visits. So now I have a 33-shot album dedicated to the new Pier 62, which I added to my "
Seattle Waterfront Revitalization" albums collection, thanks to a particular event happening on Sundays through the winter there.

Anyway! Both Friday and Saturday I watched movies with Laney. On Friday we met right after work to see
Black Bag, which we both thought was fantastic. It's not exactly the highest bar to call it "the best movie of the year so far," but that is very much what it is. I don't think a lot of people will flock to theaters to see it, but they should.

On Saturday, Laney came over for a double feature at the Braeburn Condos theater—at which the projector lamp was replaced just the day before. In fact, I went in to test it once I got home from the movie Friday night, and was happy to find that it was.
We watched a double feature of the 2007 British screwball comedy
Death at a Funeral, and the 2010
American remake—but, in reverse order. Laney and I agreed to do it this way because I felt that the British version is better. The trouble was, nearly every scene is the same, with slight variations, which meant that because we saw the American version first, we enjoyed it more. Nothing was surprising in the original as a result, even though the relationships feel more authentic in that one. Oh well. Lesson learned!
After that, Shobhit went to a potluck with The Olympians in Tacoma, and I therefore spent the evening at Steamworks. I can't speak for Shobhit, but I had kind of mixed experience, but with highs high enough that I think I can still say it was a very satisfying, great time.

Shobhit and I just finished our second session with Amy, our couples therapist. My assessment is basically the same as it was last week: it went well enough. I'm tempted to say that some of her suggestions were kind of obvious, but, I can't say we have fully put those suggestions into practice, and perhaps we should. So, there's that.
I also need to double check some things with the insurance coverage. That part is the most frustrating. I don't think I'm quite yet to a point of needing to seriously worry about it becoming a hindrance, but I do need to find out some things first.
