Wed, 10:37: So, we open a new store in Ballard today. Some fun stats I assembled:
*Only six weeks after West Seattle re-opened after a two-year closure, by far a record time between openings (beating the previous record of one year: Burien opened 2018)
*We now have 13 currently operating stores, this being our 7th in Seattle proper (we had 7 total when I started in 2002)
*Ballard is our newest store; our oldest is Kirkland, opened 1978 (other stores, now closed, date back to the sixties)
*We have for decades been the largest member-owned grocery cooperative in the U.S., with at least four more stores scheduled to open in the next two years
