downtime tuesday: fit to print?
Not a huge amount to tell you today -- it's basically Downtime Tuesday, except I did go out to lunch. I'll get to that in a minute.
Last night I walked from work directly to Pacific Place to see Arctic, which was very good. Walked the rest of the way home from there afterward; Shobhit had just finished making Magi pasta for dinner; I ate it while writing my review.
Then we watched an episode of Will & Grace; finished the episode of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace that had to be stopped for watching the Oscars on Sunday; and then watched one episode of season four of Cheers before I went to get ready for bed.
Exciting stuff!
So, the lunch? Karen had to reschedule from the usual fourth Thursday, to Tuesday this week: I just got back from lunch with her at the Six-Seven Restaurant down at The Edgewater Hotel.
The weather is changing -- sort of; it's still way too unseasonably cold for late February in Seattle -- and it's light out much longer every day, especially on a day like today when it is mostly sunny. So, it was beautiful weather to walk to that lunch as well as walk back from, listening to the Savage Lovecast podcast along the way.
As for the lunch itself, nothing major to report -- it was just a pleasant hour shooting the breeze as always. I mentioned only a few things in passing about the Oscars; we talked a little bit about Shobhit leaving for India on Friday; we spoke a little bit about politics and the Democratic field of potential challengers for the 2020 presidential election. Oh, and she has a niece whose documentary film was apparently accepted into the "QFLIX" queer film festival in Philadelphia. I guess it's about a trans couple who have both transitioned in opposite directions, and it sounds like an interesting story indeed.
Anyway that's all the news that's fit to print today, and even calling what I wrote today "fit to print" could be debatable. But there it is!
