Sat, 21:15: RT @amdar1ing: Lots of science-y folks are posting this graph. But if there is one thing I have learned from being on the internet, it is this:
Data/graphs: Not compelling to many.
Kitties: Compelling to many.
So I present: #Catteningthecurve.
Practicing good hygiene, social distancing, and self-quarantining when sick will turn the "Alert Kitty" into the "Lazy Kitty", which leads to less case, less of a burden on hospitals, and better outcomes overall. pic.twitter.com…
Sat, 21:56: Olympia Pride is already canceled. Seattle Pride, as of now not officially canceled, is scheduled for only a week later, on June 28. I will be deeply saddened if it gets canceled, but what can you do? On the upside, we made it to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras so I'll still have at least made it to one major Pride Parade this year.
(The question regarding Olympia Pride is whether they jumped the gun; most cancellations currently only run through April. But, who knows whether things will be a lot better, or a lot worse, a month from now? The Fuckwit Administration—which DISBANDED the U.S. pandemic response team two years ago—hardly inspires confidence.)
