Fri, 8:26: I really have no patience left for people still trying to argue for voting third party in any Presidential election and particularly this one (just like 2016, just like 2000, etc etc), as if it’s not completely boneheaded.
And don’t get me wrong: I am all for abolishing the two-party system, but the idea that it can ever be done from the top down is naïve at best and willfully reckless at worst. Lasting change will only happen on that front if it is done from the ground up.
So, I’m happy to have this conversation about the damage of a two-party system. But we can talk when you’re this passionate about your local, state and Congressional elections.
Fri, 14:26: It suddenly occurred to me that the very last thing I ever said to my mom was, indeed, "I love you." It really is a great comfort to know that to have been what it was.
