Mon, 5:45: RT @ava: Basically half of all white folks. This is where we are. After all that we’ve been through. Whiteness over democracy. Whitenes over safety.

Mon, 9:15: I keep seeing work emails about the "Sweet Baby Blues" promotion and I don't care that it's actually about blueberries I just want to know why MY FACE ISN'T IN THE ADS
Mon, 11:54: Jesus Christ. I try listening to an episode This American Life for the first time in months and it's about grieving the unrelated death of a mother in the middle of a pandemic? Next!
Mon, 18:24: Okay. ATTN people who knew and loved my mom (also known as Jeanni Rogers): I have a lot to share here so pay attention!
I have finished a tribute compilation video of her and her life, and it can be found and viewed here.
It is 83 minutes long, features photos that span her life, and video clips that span between 1992 and 2019.
I do wish I could just share the video embedded here on Facebook, but I wanted to make it the best video I could make it—which meant including several songs whose copyright protection would just get the video blocked both here and on YouTube, and I'm sick of that shit! I got a little emotional several times just reviewing the whole thing one last time last night.
And now for some "extra features." I created a playlist on Spotify to serve as the soundtrack album to this video.
And! I even wrote up a document of notes on the subtext of my inclusion of all these songs:
