the gray
Do you like the photos included in today's DLU? Such beautiful skies! Who needs photos of lush greenery in fresh air around the world! *Deep breath* taste the Dirt Rainbow!
It's amazing how radically different the color of the sky can be depending on both the angle of the sun and how much smoke is in the air.
Oh. Hey. Remember when getting out into fresh air was basically our only refuge during coronavirus lockdowns? Ah, those were the days! My bike ride with Dad this weekend is looking less and less likely. But, we'll see. Miracles do happen! Hahahaha, no they don't. But random things that are to our advantage sometimes do! Right now it's a complete toss-up whether Laney and I will make it for our postponed outdoor "Happy Hour" at Volunteer Park on Friday. I have my doubts. Friday next week?? Maybe.
Not much else to catch you up on. Work load with my job is relatively stressful this week. I may have found at least one solution to ease one burden today. Maybe.
Shobhit had the day off of work yesterday. His car is all fixed, so once I was done with work, instead of having to take the bus this time I drove to the office to swap out paperwork. Windows rolled up, listening to the Pet Shop Boys on my AirPods, deep breaths for singing along evidently still sucking in enough smoke particles to give me a slight headache. Fun! We're all eventually just going to suffocate to death, what a blast.
When I got back, I felt like watching a fun action movie. It's amazing how endless the options are on countless streaming platforms and yet how limited the options of good quality movies. TV shows is another matter entirely, but it can be a real challenge to find a movie you're in the mood for that's at no extra cost. Finally I found Mission: Impossible - Fallout on Prime Video. Shobhit and I had a great time watching it, even though we had both already seen it when it came out two years ago. I was pretty sure Shobhit had come with me to see it in theaters. He did. Remember movie theaters?
