Fri, 8:26: What a strange thing when something is simultaneously hilarious and makes you despair for humanity. RT @travisakers Pink Floyd updated their profile picture to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dark Side of the Moon, and the replies are… something. https://t.co/7l8IvXXWbx
Fri, 11:25: It is with uncharacteristically mixed feelings that I report I have purchased tickets to see Madonna, my lifelong idol until 2020, in concert at Climate Pledge Arena this coming July.
I mean, what am I supposed to do, *not* see her?? This is her 12th tour and only the fourth with a stop in Seattle. For the first time in literally decades, she is not making the set list top-heavy with tracks from a new album and instead will focus on her career hits. *And* she is 64 years old; who knows which tour will be her last? She could collapse under the weight of her own hubris and cringe any day now!
Lowest-tier tickets were $115 base price, up to $143 with typically exorbitant Ticketmaster fees. On the upside, we're in the nosebleeds so will have a healthy distance from her hideous plastic surgery.
I'm so excited!
